OceanaGold receives permit for WKP mine in New Zealand

The Australian gold miner has been granted an exclusive permit to develop the Wharekirauponga (WKP) mineral resource in New Zealand.

The current indicated resource at WKP is 421,000 oz of gold at 13.4 g/t gold and an inferred resource of 717,000 oz at 12 g/t gold. It is expected to produce 190,000 oz to 230,000 oz per year. The project will be operational for several years.
