Final pieces in place for Sirius Minerals £2.4bn UK Potash mine

The £2.4bn development of the largest Potash mine in the UK  has entered the final stage of its development following governmental approval.

Sirius Minerals, the developers of the mine, has announced that they have received the green light to proceed from the government.

"Our team is currently actively engaged in the financing phase of the project and I look forward to providing further updates in due course," said Chris Fraser, managing director and CEO of Sirius Minerals.

The company had previously announced plans to begin construction on the mine in September this year.
